Flor Maryory Serrano-Prada began her violin studies with Professor Ismenia Molina at the Aragua Symphony Foundation in Maracay, Venezuela. She also received lessons with Professors Victor Gamardo, Borgan Ascanio, Luis Miguel Gonzalez, Pablo Vazquez, Jose F. Del Castillo and Williams Naranjo.
Miss Serrano has also been a member of the Aragua Symphony Orchestra since 1995. In the US, she received her cum laude Bachelors Degree (04), Masters Degree (06), and Artist Diploma in String Quartet Studies (08) from Shenandoah University, and she is currently completing her Artists Diploma in Performance under the tutelage of Prof. Akemi Takayama. She has also taken violin lesson with Mark Ramirez, Doris Lederer, and Tom Shaw. Miss Serrano has been principal of the Second Violin section of the Loudoun Symphony Orchestra since 2003, Concertmaster in the Shenandoah Symphony Orchestra, Pit Orchestra, and a Member of the Shenandoah Kammermusik Players. She has participated in Summer Music Festival such as Las Vegas Music Festival (03, 05), National repertory Orchestra (06), Idyllwild Arts Music Festival (08) and Shenandoah Performs (04, 07, 08). Miss Serrano was a candidate for the International Violin Competition Citta d Brescia in Italy (07).
